Getting started with Coursera

Find the invitation email sent by Merit America, to join our learning group in Coursera. The subject line should say, "You're invited to learn on Coursera!" If you can't find the email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. This is a personal invitation, please don't share it.

Once you find the email. Click on "Join Now" and it will take you to the MA Coursera page specific to the program you are in.

On the MA Coursera page, you should see a banner containing the name of your program (the name will be different from the ss) and a "Join" button. Click on "Join" and it will prompt you to log in with your existing Coursera account or create new one.

If you do not have an account with Coursera please click on the "Sign Up" tab and make one. Once you've made an account, you will be asked to verify it (see next ss). Once verified it will take you to the next step in joining.

If you already have a Coursera account, please log in with your credentials. Note: If you've already started or completed any of the courses in the program, prior to joining Merit America. Please cancel your subscription if you are paying for it (we offer the courses for free) and re-enroll through the MA Learning Group. Don't worry, your progress will carry on!

Once you've logged in or created a new account a window will pop up asking you to join the program. It will contain the name of the program you are in.

Congratulations, you've successfully joined the MA Learning Group in Coursera! In the catalog, you will see the courses that will be used in your program. Please make sure to click each of them and "Enroll"

​Note: The courses available will be different depending on the program that you are in. Again, please make sure that you click and enroll in all of them as you will be using all of these courses throughout the program.
