Slack is the main communication tool used throughout the program and is a replacement for texting/calling. It is important you have easy access to Slack and are checking your messages on a daily basis.

You will receive an invitation from Slack inviting you to join the MA Workspace, the subject line is “Edison Maniwang has invited you to work with them in Slack.”

We recommend downloading the latest version of the Slack App on your desktop and mobile device to ensure you don't miss any updates, announcements, or notifications from the program. Starting September 1st, 2024, the following versions and systems will no longer be supported:

  • Slack Desktop App: Versions 4.33 and below

  • Slack Mobile App: Versions 23.08.50 and below

  • Browsers: Safari 16, Chrome 116, Firefox 117, Edge 116 and below

  • Desktop OS: MacOS 11 and below

  • Mobile OS: Android 10, iOS 15 and below

For the best experience, please ensure your apps and operating systems are updated as soon as possible.

Once logged in you will see the different channels that you will be using in the program. The different channels are:

  1. Squad channel - a place for your squad and coach to communicate

  2. All Learner Channel - a communication hub for all learners in the same cohort

  3. Group fun Channel - a channel for fun events and a place to unwind.

  4. Tech Collaboration Channel - a place for learners to collaborate and help each other on the technical content of the program. This is also monitored by our Tech advisors.

  5. Track Support Channel - a dedicated channel to request support for any issues concerning tech platforms (Learner Portal, Coursera, Slack, etc.). Learners can submit a ticket by reacting with a ticket emoji on their question!

These channels will be named differently depending on what cohort you are in, but the format and function are the same.
