What is the role of a career coach during the Job Success phase?

At Merit America, our program is divided into three phases: Foundations, Immersions, and Job Success. Throughout all three phases, you’ll work with a career coach who provides consistent, personalized support from start to finish.

During the Job Success phase, your Program Career Coach will focus on helping you:

  • Develop a strategic job search plan and optimize your job board profiles to increase visibility

  • Use tools and resources to research companies, connect with recruiters, tailor your application materials, prepare for interviews, and negotiate offers

  • Overcome barriers like motivation, imposter syndrome, financial or legal challenges, and workplace concerns related to age, neurodiversity, gender, or sexuality

  • Leverage AI tools to enhance your job search strategy

If you need additional support after the Job Success phase, our alumni career coaches are available to help you continue your job search and navigate new opportunities.
