How to Create a Figma Account

Figma is a design tool used in your coursework. Follow the steps below to create your account and get started.

Create Your Account

  1. Go to: https://www.figma.com/signup

  2. Choose one of the following:

    • Sign up with your email + password

    • Continue with your Google account

  3. Complete the onboarding prompts

When asked:

  • What kind of work do you do? → Select Design

  • How will you primarily use Figma? → Select For learning / personal use

  • Find additional sign up support on the Create a Figma account page.

ℹ️Plan & Getting Started

You should use a free Figma account for this program. The free plan includes everything you need to complete your coursework—no upgrades required.

Once your account is created, you can:

  • Create new design files

  • Open and work in shared course files

  • Collaborate with others
